I design and document electrical automation systems for industrial and building applications — KNX and MSR (measurement, control and instrumentation) work, primarily. Day to day, that means schematics, terminal plans and device documentation, mostly in EPLAN.

My formal qualification is an Ausbildung as Elektroniker für Energie und Gebäudetechnik, built on since through hands-on project work rather than a university path. I’m constantly picking up new tools alongside it — Linux, scripting, networking — wherever they intersect with the automation work.
