Prithu works as a technischer Zeichner (technical draftsman) at Elektro-Muckel GmbH & Co. KG in Düren, where he plans and documents electrical automation systems for buildings and industrial facilities. His work spans:
- EPLAN schematic design for control cabinets (Schaltschrank) in MSR/building-automation projects
- KNX and Loxone building automation configuration and documentation
- German construction tender documentation (LV/AVA in ORCA AVA format)
- Cross-disciplinary fluency in Linux, programming, and networking, which he applies to streamline engineering documentation workflows
His formal qualification is an Ausbildung as Elektroniker für Energie und Gebäudetechnik, built on hands-on experience across pool heat-pump systems, kindergarten renovations, research-facility automation, and smart building tenders.
Writing is a core part of Prithu’s identity. He describes himself as a Schriftsteller (writer) and কবি (poet), publishing primarily on Facebook, with earlier work in poetry and personal essays. His writing engages with:
- Freedom of expression, secularism, and social justice
- Human rights and women’s rights
- Personal and philosophical reflection, including his own aphorism: “Life is a tale, full of sophisticated lies.”
He is working toward placing philosophical and literary work in German literary magazines, and has translated selected pieces from Bengali into German for that purpose.
Prithu serves as 1. Vorsitzender (1st Chairman) of the Dachverband Migrantenselbstorganisationen Düren e.V., an umbrella organization for migrant self-organizations in Düren. Through this role, he works to:
- Promote integration, intercultural dialogue, and democratic participation
- Build cooperation between organizations from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Support community initiatives funded through regional and state grants
He views thoughtful dialogue and the free exchange of ideas as essential to a democratic, inclusive society — a value that runs through both his community work and his writing.
